Pogona is founded by IMSA endurance professional Renger van der Zande. With more than ten years of experience in motorsport insurance and the combination of being part of the paddock as a racer since 20 years, it keeps the lines short with Pogona and its clients.

Renger van der Zande
Renger van der Zande is a Dutch racing driver who has competed in a wide variety of racing series all over the world throughout his career. Going through the ranks of the junior series like Formula Renault2.0, Formula 3 and a season in DTM. Since 2017 he found his racing base in the top-class of the IMSA championship and is committed to the LMDH adventure with Chip Ganassi Racing & Cadillac since 2021.
Renger: When I came to the US for the first time in 2013 I got invited to race in the LMPC class in Laguna Seca. I have had my main racing program in the USA since. Its an amazing racing environment with oldschool tracks and openminded rules & regulations that make those endurance races a real fight and show on track. I always been active in other categories like the World Endurance Championship and GT racing. Series that are organized by the SRO, Creventic, or the absolute amazing one off races like the Macau GT Cup & the 24H Nürburgring.
In 2012 I had my lowest point in my career where I had no program to go racing. Those were the moments where I have learned the most and also learned about how passionate I am about racing. It is those moments that I look back and see that if you commit and never give up, but also reassess your goals and make adjustments to what was in front, you can achieve beautiful results.

Oscar Vianen
As a little boy, Oscar dreamed of being involved in motorsport. This succeeded by doing an internship in 2020, after studying at IVA Business School, and eventually getting a permanent job with the organisation behind the national motorsport championships in the Netherlands and Belgium. After this, Oscar entered the motorsport insurance world with Renger's help.
Oscar also started racing in 2021. This went well enough that he will drive a BMW Z4 Zilhouette for the full season in the Supercar Challenge in 2023. Apart from his races, Oscar can also be found on the racetrack almost every weekend, so don't be afraid to approach him with insurance-related questions.
